Collaborations can be a beautiful thing. Just check out Maroon 5 and Rihanna for proof. “If I never see your face again.”

Remeber When Joan Jett Loved Rock and Roll?

At least one day a week will be a trip back to the 80s. Groan, moan, cheer, or jeer, I love 80s music and know I have company out there.

Counting Crows are on tour with Maroon 5 and Augustanna. Here’s “when I dream of Michaelangelo,” live.

Weezer “Island In The Sun” Live

Weezer plays “Island in The Sun,” in addition to 3 other hits including “Pork and Beans,” on a live set.

Radiohead has long been outspoken on environment issues. They recently spoke to the Daily Record about some enviro-friendly tour precautions.

“All the gigs are in city centres – Glasgow Green, Victoria Park in London – so public transport can be used to get there. And the other big one was shipping our gear,” said guitarist Ed.

“So we bought another set of gear, shipped it to America on a slow container ship – because fast ships, like the QE2, have as big an impact as a 747.

Check out Radiohead at a concert venue near you this summer and thank them for being so groovy and green. Here’s an old one of my favorites, Fake Plasic Trees.

David Cook has signed a deal with Skechers to promote some cool sneakers. He will be featured in advertisements starting in the fall and through December 2009.

“I have always viewed Skechers as a cool company, so I am excited to be a part of their campaign,” Cook said. “They’ve had some sensational singers like Carrie Underwood and Christina Aguilera as they were starting out and it will be great to be a part of the Skechers roster.”

We’re sure he also got some cool money from such a cool company.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love David. Just saying he looks a little furrier than I expected in this Live version of Lionel Ritchie’s “Hello.”

Boy George has been hurt. By the U.S., that is. It seems he was refused a work VISA and had to cancel his U.S. Tour because of it. You see, good old George O’Dowd, is awaiting trial on charges that he held an escort against his will (and presumeably hurt him). So this Karma Chameleon won’t be blending in the states anytime soon.

But do we really want to hurt him?

Nine Inch Nails is offering downloads of their album, similiar to Radiohead. Just what is the album about anyway? According to Reznor, “It’s the result of working from a visual perspective – coating imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams.”

Here’s “Ham and Eggs.” Something to go along with the food theme from Weezer’s “Pork and Beans,” post.
